A Rioja with an approachable modern twist
A gorgeous, contemporary Rioja that marries the beautiful red fruit-and spice flavors of Tempranillo with a modern aging program
VAZA originates from the Spanish word "baza", meaning trump card, referring to the wine's place in the Ferrer Family wine portfolio - it’s a fusion of Spain's winemaking progression and the region's rich wine history.
In the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria mountains, we found this gorgeous, contemporary Rioja that marries the beautiful red fruit-and spice flavors of Tempranillo with a more modern aging program driven by French oak instead of the more traditional American variety. This wine is light and fresh with approachable tannins and delicious flavors of sweet tobacco, raspberry, and cherry.
